How BingeBang works

Everything here is free, there are no ads and you do not need an account. This page covers the player, finding things, your account, and the questions people ask most.

Switching servers

This is the one thing worth learning. BingeBang does not host any video. It searches the internet for streams of what you asked for, finds every server carrying it, and puts them all behind one player. The Server menu is how you move between them.

If a title will not play, or the quality is poor, change the server before giving up. More than a quarter of all viewing here already involves switching at least once. It is how the site is meant to be used, not a fault.

Change the server whenever

  • It will not start at all, or the screen stays black
  • It keeps buffering, or stops to load every few seconds
  • The picture is soft, blocky or plainly low quality
  • It is an early cam or screener copy and a better one may exist
  • There are no subtitles, or none in your language
  • The audio is the wrong language, or there is no sound at all
  • Audio or subtitles drift out of sync with the picture
  • You want 4K or higher detail and this server does not have it
  • Playback stalls partway through and will not recover

Any of these is about the server you happened to land on, not about the title. Another server very often just works.

What to press

ServerIn the player's control bar, bottom right. Goes straight to the list.
SettingsNext to it. Opens the whole menu, with Server as the first tile.

On a narrow screen the control bar drops buttons to fit, so the Server shortcut may not be there - use Settings and pick Server from the menu.

Why one server is not like another

Each server is a different copy of the same title, found in a different place. They are genuinely not interchangeable, and it is worth a look through them:

Quality

One server may only have a 720p copy while the next already has full HD or 4K. If what you are watching looks soft, another server often just looks better.

Early releases

For something very new, one server may still be carrying a cam or screener copy while another has picked up a proper full-HD release. Same title, completely different experience.

Subtitles

Subtitles come from the server itself, so one with none in your language is worth leaving. The next one may carry exactly what you need built in.

Audio tracks

Original language, a dub, or several to choose from - it depends entirely on which copy you are playing.

Bitrate and detail

Two servers can both say 1080p and still not look the same. A higher bitrate copy holds up far better in dark or fast-moving scenes.

Simply working

Servers go down, get busy, or lose a title. A stall is usually about that one server, not about the title being unavailable.

So the habit worth forming: if the picture looks rough, the subtitles are missing, or it simply will not start - open Settings, tap Server, and try the next one. It takes a couple of seconds and it is usually the whole answer.

You will end up with a favourite

After a few films most people notice the same one or two servers usually work best for them. Which ones those are depends on where you are and what your connection is like, so it is worth paying attention to the names as you go.

Once you know, you do not have to keep picking them by hand. In Settings, under Player, Server priority lists every server and lets you drag your preferred ones to the top. The player then tries them in that order on every title, so your favourite is usually the one already playing. It is saved to your account, so it follows you to any device you log in on.

The rest of the player

Everything else lives behind the same settings button.

Quality

Auto follows your connection. Pick a fixed quality and the player holds it, stepping down one level at a time if your connection dips rather than dropping to the bottom. 4K is marked where a server has it.

Subtitles

Tracks that come with the server are listed first. No match for your language? Search OpenSubtitles from the same menu, or upload your own .srt or .vtt. Size, colour, font, weight, position, background, outline and timing offset are all adjustable.

Audio

Pick the audio track when a server carries more than one language.

Playback

Playback speed, a live clock showing when the film or episode will finish, auto-play for the next episode, skip-segment control, and a sleep timer that can also stop after the current episode.

Picture

Brightness, contrast, saturation and zoom, for servers whose copy is too dark or the wrong shape for your screen.

Also in the player

  • Skip intro, recap and credits - a Skip button appears when we know where they are.
  • Next episode - appears near the end, and can advance automatically.
  • Episode list - on a TV episode, the list button opens every episode of the show without leaving the player. Pick the season, flip the order oldest or newest first, and each row shows its thumbnail and how far through it you are.
  • Resume - logged in, you pick up where you stopped, on any device.
  • Chromecast and picture-in-picture - where your browser allows it.

Finding something

The header has Movies, Series, Calendar, Explore and search. Explore is the one with real filters, all combinable:

Search
Title search across movies and TV. People are searched separately - pick People in the dropdown.
Sort by
Popularity, rating, release date, or Date Found - the last one is recently added, which is how you see what is new here rather than what is new in the world.
4K Ultra HD
Only titles with a 4K server. On the TV tab this switches to individual episodes, since 4K is per episode.
Genre
Combine as many as you like.
Streaming service
Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Apple TV+, Paramount+, Peacock, Crunchyroll and MGM+ - what the title streams on officially.
Minimum rating
Hide anything below a score.
Release years
A year range.
Country
Country of origin.

TV Calendar shows episodes that landed in the last week, by day, so you can see what is newly watchable rather than merely newly aired.

Frequently asked questions

The video will not play. What do I do?

Open the settings menu in the player and pick a different server. Most titles are available on several, and they do not all work at the same moment. This is the single most useful thing to know - more than a quarter of all viewing here involves switching server at least once. If every server fails, turn your VPN off or switch it to a different server: some VPN networks are blocked by our streaming proxy, and while you are on one nothing will play whichever server you pick.

It says "All servers failed" but it worked earlier.

Reload the page first. A player tab that has been open for a while loses its access pass, every server is refused at once, and the player reports that as a failure - a refresh issues a new pass and it plays again. If reloading does not help, turn your VPN off or switch it to a different server: some VPN networks are blocked by our streaming proxy, and while you are on one nothing will play no matter which server you pick.

Why am I asked to verify that I am human?

That check appears for connections coming through VPNs, proxies and datacentre networks, which is where nearly all automated abuse comes from. Tick the box once and you will not see it again for a while. Turn off your VPN if you want to avoid this verification. Downloads are the exception: the download option always asks, for everyone, whether or not you use a VPN - one tick then covers a short run of them.

The human verification failed. What do I do?

Three things fix almost every case. Turn off your VPN or proxy and reload the page. Turn off browser extensions, particularly ad and privacy blockers, which often stop the check loading at all. Or open the page in a different browser. If the box never appears in the first place, that is the same problem - something is blocking it rather than you failing it.

Is BingeBang free? Do I need an account?

It is free and there are no ads. You can watch without an account. Signing up is only needed if you want a watchlist, favourites, resume across devices, recommendations and achievements.

How do I turn on subtitles?

Open the settings menu, choose Subtitles, and pick a track. If the server has none in your language, use the OpenSubtitles option to search for one, or upload your own .srt or .vtt file. You can set a default language in Settings so it is chosen for you.

Can I change the video quality?

Yes - Quality in the settings menu. Auto follows your connection. If you pick a fixed quality the player keeps it when it can, and steps down one level at a time rather than dropping to the bottom when your connection dips.

Why does a title have no video at all?

We only list what we can actually play, but servers come and go. If a title has just lost its last server it can briefly appear with nothing behind it. Newly released episodes can also take a little while to appear.

How do I remove a title from Continue Watching?

Go to My Space and open History. Every row there has an X to remove it, and that is what takes it off Continue Watching - the row on the home page is simply drawn from your history, so clearing it there clears it everywhere. Removing something from History does not un-tick it as watched.

Can I skip intros and recaps?

Yes. A Skip button appears over the video when we know where the intro, recap, credits or preview are. You can turn this off in Settings.

Can I download instead of streaming?

On a movie or show page, use the download button next to Play. It lists direct links with quality, size and file type. There is a daily limit per person.

Does it work on a TV or phone?

Yes. The player is built to work on smart-TV browsers and phones as well as desktop, and supports Chromecast and picture-in-picture where the device allows it.

I forgot my password.

Use the "Forgot password?" link in the log-in box. We email you a link that works once and expires in an hour. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder.

How do I get notified about new episodes?

Add a show to your watchlist and turn on new-episode notifications in Settings. The bell in the header then tells you when an episode we can play appears.
